U.S. to Crack Down on Intellectual Property Rights

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States on Monday warned Ukraine, the European Union and a long list of other countries it will vigorously enforce trade laws protecting intellectual property rights on goods ranging from music CDs to pharmaceuticals.

In a statement, U.S. Trade Representative Robert Zoellick said the Bush administration would use sanctions and other measures to guard against copyright, patent and trademark infringement.
