Re: [atlarge-discuss] VB as Chair

Sotiris and all stakeholders or other interested parties,

I agree that I personally was not completely satisfied with Vittorio's
performance as the Chair or as a panel member last time around.
None the less, he was elected again and the Panel should have the
right to elect amongst themselves whom their chair for the Panel
should be.

We must allow the democratic process and practice work and
stand. We all should do all we can to help Vittorio in any way
that is ethical, honest, and is supportive as well as supported
by the members. Perhaps Vittorio has learned from his
past performance and experience on the Panel. Let's
give him the benefit of the doubt...

The fact that you got the most votes could be attributed to other circumstances than just member satisfaction... perhaps you had a few of your colleagues /students register to vote, who knows? In any case, I certainly d not support you as Chair of organization's panel. Tread

I do not attribute too much credence to the number of votes and so I do not think that the person who gets the highest number of votes has any special entitlement to the Chair.
