  This is only one such instance that was a failure.  It in no way dictates
that another effort will fair the same...  So as a testimonial situation,
I am not convinced based on this argument...

  Agreed here...  But in now way does this restrict us to being
directly associated to or with ICANN in determining a new name
for our organization...
