I find the idea of a non-English name quite intriguing but wonder whether a Scandinavian would instantly respond to Spanish or a Latino to something Germanic. 

Brainstorming on this may be helpful but I'd like to put in a word for VoxPopuli.org if it isn't already taken. Outside North America, a lot of people still study Latin, and many who know nothing of the language know the quotation "vox populi, vox dei" ("The voice of the people is the voice of God") which expresses the fundamental principle of democracy in four words.

Just another thought...
