Actually of the legitimacy on the namespace (worldwide concertance or ICANN 
dominance) and of the nature of the Internet (hence of its source) 
according Vint Cerf and according the 47 USC 230 (f)(1) US legal 
deifintion. This being important for the FCC ability to define what are 
"adavanced services" and the  impact it may have on the telecommunications 
and networks evolution and innovation.

Is the internet a telecommunications middleware (Vint Cerf: 
intertechnologes), a relational middleware (jfc: extended network model) or 
an information service (USC). It is also important in term of regulation 
(disinterest by IETF), as per peoples demand (jfc), conflictingly not 
regulated (FCC). This has obviously an immense impact on the users (rates, 
privacy protection, cross subsidization, network zoning, innovation freeze 
or development, e-goulag, etc.)

We here need Telecommunications lawyers specializing in FCC and 
international. I do hope that Erick could make it and bring that kind of 
competence to the Board.
