Nonetheless, there were a couple of potential "ICANN competitors",
such as CENTR, publicly complaining about this before the deadline for
"silent approval" expired. Let's see what happens - I don't think that
the DoC is going to consider anyone else than ICANN for the IANA
function, but, also given the international climate, Europeans might
not accept this too quietly.
