OK so more people said "the members should appoint the committees"... than
"the Panel should choose"... and even fewer people felt "people can
self-select" themselves onto Committees.

As I share that view, can I take it that the Panel will ensure that this
democratic expression is respected?

Let's keep going back again and again to the will and wishes of the
membership.

By members appointing committees (from lists of volunteers and participants)
we gain the sharpness of a smaller team to make the final votes/ decisions
on reports, while all members can be non-voting participants.

These Committees will develop really important policies in the future, if
well led, and it's worth taking the time to define the Committees we want,
select its voting members and chair, and then - yes - making sure everybody
can participate... but at least that way you have a process, accountability,
and some protection from self-electing individuals whose point of view may
be non-representative

Nice test of our democratic intent: response?
