[FYI] (Fwd) FC: Act Three of Poindexter's Incredibly ShrinkingSite: Still More!

Hallo,

passender zur orwell'schen Geschichts- und Realitätsumschreibung kann
man es nicht mehr machen, was da die DARPA versucht.
Aus diesem Anlass die komplette IAO Website und die DARPAtech2002
Präsentationen als Download:

Subject: FC: Act Three of Poindexter's Incredibly Shrinking Site: Still
More!

The Chronology So Far:

1. Act One: DOD/TIA deletes bios from its site
(http://www.politechbot.com/p-04262.html)
2. Act Two: DOD/TIA deletes logo and slogan from its site
(http://www.politechbot.com/p-04262.html)
3. Act Three: DOD/TIA deletes STILL MORE documents from its site. Here
are
the fairly detailed "before" images of how the Total Information
Awareness
system operates:
http://www.epic.org/events/tia_briefing/tia_screenshot.gif
http://www.epic.org/events/tia_briefing/tia_categories.gif
And here's the single, far less detailed "after" image:
http://www.darpa.mil/iao/images/TIA_graphic.gif
http://www.politechbot.com/docs/tia.replacement.graphic.010302.jpg
(mirror)

Also, let's not forget:
4. TSA deletes documents from its site
(http://www.politechbot.com/p-04279.html)
5. FEMA deletes documents from its site
(http://www.politechbot.com/p-04173.html)

On another note, if you had to speculate about what TIA would encompass
in
say, three to five years, what kind of information would be included?
Mandatory GPS in cars? Mandatory chips in humans?

Subject: Modification of DARPA TIA website continues (again): Chart
replaced

The original TIA chart has been replaced by one that is certainly
less-ominous and less-detailed.

The lists of all the various types of data has been removed, and they
have
put in cute little red thingies to assure us that our privacy will be
protected.

You guys are so cute! Nice going replacing the logo and chart, and all
the personnel bios.

I especially love the little red thingies that assure us that our
privacy
will be protected.

Way to go!
