Re: [atlarge-discuss] Comments Invited on Election Details

I don't see any compelling reason to put off the election. A more permanent
panel will have an easier time doing some of the items that take more time.
Plus, the incumbent members can be judged by their contributions so far.

: For all practical reasons the Panel may wish to send a note via the Icann
At
: Large announce list to all 800+ members, soliciting for a 90 day panel
: extension, on the understanding that all duly assigned tasks will be
: completed as early as possible within that extension period and certainly
no
: later than 90 days beyond the current date. If less than a majority
respond
: negatively, the Panel could then reasonably assume they have the necessary
: mandate to continue, rather than be forced to rush something through under
: the gun. Of course we all wish things were progressing rapidly and in a
more
: advanced stage, but since they are not, a remedy needs to be agreed as
soon
: as possible.
