I already told many times that I was originally in favour of asking members
the authorization to move elections to September, to avoid voting in the
middle of the summer (when we risk to have very few people that actually
show up and vote) and to be able to accomplish more things. I drafted that
schedule because Jamie and other panel members require to have elections by
the end of July as originally stated in the first election charter - and,
since it seems to me that there are very conflicting opinions on how our
organization should interact with ICANN in the future, I now think it is the
case to have a vote as soon as possible.

I think that there is enough time for reasonable debate from now to the
elections, though there is not much time at all. To be honest, the major
risk I see now is not to have enough candidates or enough voters to make it
a meaningful election.
