The role of webmaster is not part of that mandate, this is true. Which is exactly
the reason why I would have expected to be paid for it, just as yourself; to be
paid for the extra work above and beyond my elected mandate. I actually did so
quite reluctantly, mostly out of disbelief at your pricing. I didn't see anyone
else rush forward to offer a remedy to the situation... did you? From the very
first moment of dealing with you as webmaster, I think it is fair to say that the
Interim Panel found you to be a singular and onerous obstruction. If I am wrong,
Vittorio or one of the others can correct me. I now understand that this is
something of a pattern with you. It's the IDNO all over again, isn't it Joop?
What a shame.

Considering that person was yourself, I'm not really surprised.

It is my privilege to judge the overall work you produced. According to my
criteria, the price is ludicrous. I think many of our members are quite capable of
judgment for themselves in these matters, so I leave the issue of your work and its
value to the list members themselves to determine. In my estimation, the price of
$5300? US dollars is highway robbery for the web site you produced.
As for you foray into design vs. back-end issues, trust me, the site you cobbled
togeher is way too awkward to provide easy management. A free, php-based CMS
solution (PHP-Nuke or Post-Nuke) would have been so much easier to implement,
update, manage, backup and move, that any justification you may wish to provide for
your choice of construction is ultimately anachronistic. After that, the only real
issue _is_ the design Joop. Eye candy is an important marketing and outreach tool,
one that you appear to have little understanding of or appreciation for.
Quite frankly, I have little desire to be icannatlarge.com webmaster, even though I
know I would do a much better job than you. So, this exchange has really come to
its finale for me, get your last words in if you like.
Sincerely,
Sotiris Sotiropoulos
