Our membership is still relatively small and early in terms of outreach to
achieve a full global spread. A look at our membership- by- country reveals
the obvious gap: China.
It needs only a single active member there to correct that. :-)
In the meantime, I think we should worry more about capture by non-user
interests than about full global coverage. We should be very careful not to
get distracted by nationalistic issues and regional differences that are
not directly relevant to what ICANN is doing.
