As a general statement, I disagree. If, hypothetically, I came up with a great name (I haven't), I'd register it first, mention it here second, if only as a defensive measure to protect against those who might co-opt it for nefarious reasons.

In such an instance, I would, of course, transfer it if/when appropriate, no charge, as I hope others will.
