Thanks for the information.

What we can realistically attempt is to manifest our desire for an 
alternative to ICANN insiders.  Just as GA participation offers little 
chance of directly influencing ICANN but is still important, so is running 
a "users candidate" for the board.

I believe we should support a candidate.  That candidate could speak out on 
behalf of users.

Nominations are due by August 30, so we have some time.
