Re: [atlarge-discuss] User activities in other At-Large structures

Jeff,

I really get tired of hearing your nonsense. If people working together at
the local level, creating after-school programs, generating employment
opportunities, organizing small business workshops and cooperating with
government ministers to enhance e-commerce situations in developing countries
has "little meaning" to you because they aren't "voting", then you are truly
in need of professional help.

Exactly what earthshaking "issues" is Jeff Williams voting on? Choosing a
new name for this organization? Big friggin' deal. I'm not impressed.

You seem to think that "voting" is the only thing that matters... I cited
examples of "productive" user activities. Yes, these were ISOC activities in
this example, but numerous other examples abound. What matters is actually
"accomplishing" something.

Other groups are actually getting things done that are of value to their
respective communities. They self-organize in order to utilize their
collective skills and talent to benefit others. They don't seem to need the
voting rights that you describe to actually get things accomplished -- they
route around the problem and aggressively work on solutions to the real
day-to-day user issues.

Meanwhile, you claim to be the spokesman for a sizable group and yet have
absolutely nothing to show for your group's efforts. Frankly, I have never
heard of your INEGroup ever getting anything done that was of benefit to
anyone, so don't expect me to tolerate having you disparage the activities of
others.
