I do not see the legal problem at all. Yes, there was a private opinion
expressed that ICANNatlarge may be using the ICANN element illegally.

Quite so. We are still there as icannatlarge.com
BTW, isn't Kent Crispin webmaster and host of that website? By changing or not changing the link and name , that webmaster has the power to select which worldwide organization Denise's ALOC will "recognize".





ICANNatlarge is the only "worldwide" organization recognized in the present
ICANN process. My fear is quite on the opposite end: if the membership should
vote to change the ICANNatlarge name to something else, we lose the position
which we until now rightly (and recognized by ICANN) have, as one of the
self-organized bodies to which ICANN has to listen (even if the board does not
agree with our voice).

I share Norbert's concern.
I already felt uncomfortable that the members had their choices made *for* them when the Panel eliminated icannatlarge.com from the choice.
