Open to very @large. As USA are the home of every US Citizen.
And Iraq the home of very Iraqi.
That is not my view of the At-Large.
Accepted. But it is yours.
Instead, I see it as a political movement fighting for the
representation that has been denied to it.
ICANN is a USG Agency. It is the US Super NIC.
The only way you can make it change their mind is in being representative
not in being vinicative. Get first 10.000 US @large citizens you well get
through. france@large has good relations with AFNIC, so has germany@large
with DENIC. Start building alabama@atlarge, oklahoma@atlarge, dc@large, get
some meetups. Print letter head and start dialoging with your Represetative.
You will see things changing. Quickly.
They are not against you: they do not think you represent anyone but you..
Within this political context,
one would not wish to open up the membership to one's political rivals. To
my knowledge, the Democratic Party would not allow registered Republicans to
become members of their organization.
I am sorry but this is very local.
Neither should the At-Large
countenance members who are in opposition to the principles of the At-Large.
ICANN Board director Amadeu Abril i Abril is an icannatlarge.org member, yet
he voted to terminate all At-Large representation on the ICANN Board. Why
would you allow such a person to continue to be a member in this
organization?
As an European I agree. The @large are used by ICANN as a smokescreen. To
make believe they consider us. I would feel far more confortable the day
they clarify and my press and Gov understand.
Will you fire me?
You have to draw a line in the sand. Keeping the bastards out
that wish to destroy your cause is not "discrimination" -- it is simply
common sense.
I do not think the word is appropriate to my parents.
