I second the motion for a poll.

Being democratic is one thing, but an organization has to have rules in
place to deal with members misrepresenting themselves to other members and
to the public when posting as a member of this organization.

Any organization is a strong as it's weakest link. If thats true then this
organization is as credible as it's weakest link. Does this organization
want a website posted about the organization based on it's members
credibility?

I motion that we create a poll on the following, for the members of this
organization with these as choices.

1. I want to see this organization open to everyone, regardless of their
credibility, regardless of whether they post lies, and regardless of any
other infractions.
2. I want to see this organization open to everyone who represents
themselves truthfully, but don't necessarily want background checks done,
only in the most extreme circumstances should we do a background check on a
member.
3. I want to see this organization open to everyone who is willing to go
through a preliminary screening to see that they are actually who they say
they are and represent who they say they represent, and live in the
geographical region they say they do for representation purposes.
4. I want to see this organization do a full background check on each member
who wishes to have voting rights, like a voter registration is done in a
democracy.
5. Other: write in your suggestion.

After polling the members, I suggest the membership vote on the choices,
including all of the "other" suggestions as choices as well, then the panel
help implement the decision by the members.

Do I have a second?
