Re: [atlarge-discuss] Panel - Shanghai
Ron,
There seems to be consensus on the Panel that we should sponsor/facilitate
an At Large Meeting in Shanghai. Panelist YJ Park will be there, as will
member Norbert Klein.

Dear Panel Chairman and Members:
Do we know which Panel members and which general members are
attending the Shanghai conference? If so, could you post a list? If not,
it would be a good idea to find out, and to coordinate a meeting or at
least to place some strategic value on the experience.
Could it be that we do not consider ourselves a valid organization,
and therefore do not wish to have a presence. If that is the case then
our membership must be wondering why we have been wasting their time this
many months past.
If we do consider ourselves of some worth in the Internet forum, what
is the place that we intend to occupy. Are the Panel / Member attendees,
to hide their @large affiliation in shame, or are they to proclaim their
membership, and the noble aspirations of the thousand or so people who
have signed their names to our cause. Should we be able to note that we
are the beginning of a force with great aspirations and potential, or
should we cow in the shadow of the many groups and constituencies that
plan to meet and discuss policy at this event.
Simply put, what have our elected leaders decided to accomplish in
Shanghai? Anything? Nothing? Not even an opportunity for @largers to
say "Hi" to each other?
Many attendees leave their homes and offices today and tomorrow in
order to travel to the other side of the world for this event. Will
someone please respond immediately with the results of panel discussions
on this topic.
Sincerely, Ron Sherwood.
