I concur with this and indeed think you are doing a decent job, I concur
with Richard that you might as well continue.

If we have more "places" I am sure we can run a quick survey to see who
would be "fit" to fill that spot.

I believe the Panel must not be left to decide the ALOC
representative(s) for this organization.  Frankly, I do
not have much faith in the Panel members of the current committee.  The
membership must needs decide who will sit on any ALAC/AC or whatever, as
a representative of the interests of this group as a whole.
