No I think Eric was being serious in that about 4 months back, the ISOC
changed their bylaws disallowing individual members from voting to elect
their representatives or referendum and motion votes on specific issues.
Hence it is now no wonder that the ISOC is trying to give away memberships
as they are worthless as far as any individual member having any effect,
voice and vote on any initiatives, issues, policies under consideration,
or even the representatives for the ISOC or any of it's chapters...
Hence it is plainly clear that the ISOC cannot effectively, or actually
represent individual stakeholders/users in any meaningful way what so
ever...
