Damned if I know, Walter! 

I myself am feeling a little conflicted about the situation, to say the least:

1) I am extremely grateful to Joop for restoring the vanished forums, complete with their previous contents which I had feared were gone forever.

2) I am somewhat concerned about Joop's unilateral declaration of independence, and might be even more so if there were really an organization  from whom one could formally separate.

I could be wrong but I get the feeling Joop would be less likely to act on his own according to his own lights if the rest of this group could come to some agreement on what the heck we actually want to do. 

I know Jefsey and Richard have also struck out on their own in some respects, probably through sheer frustration with our incoherence, and I am sorely tempted to do likewise or give up on this group entirely. 

For the moment, I've got a foot in either camp but I'll be jumping one way or the other by Christmas. Life is short and work is hard but you don't get anywhere without it.
