Since the client software only runs under the M$ software (after looking
at the mentioned links) I can only say that we would at least alienate
50% of our current and/or prospected members, therefore not such a good
idea.

If there is some interest I would however gladly set up an ircd server
for the atlarge like f.i. irc.icannatlarge.org

If whoever runs the webpage atm adds a simple java-chat applet to the
page then those with and without irc clients (f.i.mIrc) can easily
participate.

If sufficient interest in the 3d chat servers, I can set one up for that
as well, but as mentioned above, lack of clients for other platforms
then windows is a major weakness.
