The voting has begun?  When and how was this made known?  Was that
supposed to be part of the email with the Registration code?  Seems not
all the info gets to all the participants.  The V&C committee will be
finalizing results only later today, and voting "closes" this weekend as
well?  That is very bad timing IMHO due to this weekend being a major
holiday in the USA among other reasons.  Again, why the headlong rush?
Progress IS being made but closing the process too early will only serve
to alienate those who miss these deadlines.

So I not only "third it", but also Move that the voting process be
extended an additional minimum week.

I second it.
Reminders are essential to promote participation.
Reminders and website updates.
It is a lot of work, but I am grateful when someone does it.

Also, Jefsey, please send a voting reminder on the day before the voting

closes.
By experience this reminder brings in 45-50% of the voters.
