[atlarge-discuss] Time, space and extensive texts

Dear All,

I coincide with that expressed by several members regarding the use that is
given to the list. For moments it seemed more a chat that a list. To worsen
the situation the messages they repeat to respond to all or the list.

The list is an environment, at the moment it is one of the few ones that
have, where to be able to give our point of view and to discuss the
questions of @Large, but the rationality and the common sense should prevail
for on the uncontrollable desire of responding and of becoming visible.

There are members that bombard the list with fifty or a hundred messages a
day. This in an underdeveloped country is a torture in the moment to obtain
the e-mails.

If there is something that I remember of student's days it is the teaching
of summarizing the ideas, of summarizing concepts and of being clear when
speaking.

Please:
- Not to cross the discussion of the list with particular discussions.
- When responding, to put attention of not sending repeated copies to the
members.
- To summarize the concepts.
- To use clear and simple language, don't forget that many are making the
effort of translating to other languages.
- The offenses and insults to send them by mail private.
- To put attention to the subject of the messages so that the members don't
lose the sequence of the topics.
- To know how to listen, for that reason we have two hearings and a single
mouth.

cordially,
Mauro. -

Oh it is tolerable but should not be done.
"Trim the tail off the comet"
It shows a great arrogance regarding bandwidth. To those of us operating
out of developing countries with "lesser" bandwidth, it is like saying go
away we do not want you involved.
