...good idea
But first - we have those who say a quorum is (always) 2/3rds. My
referenced source says in the US "Unless otherwise defined in bylaws or
some other code, a quorum is a majority...." I found no source I can
reference that said it should be 2/3rds.
But what would we want?
With 11 we have 6 "Y" and 5 "N"
- if we did 2/3rds "Y" we would have 4 + 3 or 7 as a quorum.
- if we did 1/2...we would have 3 + 2 or 5 as a quorum.
Looking at 11
- if we did 2/3rds we would have a quorum of 8.
- if we did 1/2...we would have a quorum of 6.
For me, a quorum of 7 makes sense - realizing it's all subjective :)
As to our 1,000 - for the time being I would not set a quorum...
