RE: [atlarge-discuss] Action Not Blunder...
@Large,
Well, despite the confusion, it seems the JFC thinks he has made a
determination of just which "members" were in fact some form of 'email
robot' by this subterfuge, as he now claims his actions with the
supposed dot-WS mailing was. If this is indeed so, I would be
interested in learning just how it was supposed to identify such, what
the results were, and the effects this is supposed to have on future use
of the mailing list.
Sincerely,
Jeff Holt

Walter,
At some time I regarded you an intelligent species, please do no
dissapoint me in that and explain where the current panel's endorsement
was explained, where the panel's foreknowledge was explained what the
outcome is, since I do not know that yet.
I can state on my behalf that I had no knowledge, not approved any of
these actions.
And I am pretty sure that in this case the entire current panel will
state the same.
Sotiris and Joop have already publicly stated this was not a panel
supported action, we condoned it, and we (current panel) are still
waiting for membership lists and website passwds.
I do not support actions taken by the panel except those that strongly
express the panel's sorrow over the event, and regret we were unable to
safeguard the membershp list better, however simular things have
happened before, and no one can guarantee they will not happen again.
As long as human beings are involved lists will be subject to this kind
of use/abuse.
I can only state for myself that I would never have done this and would
never do this.
No matter how strongly we may feel, as long as we do not concentrate on
more important matters such as getting this organization's by-laws
written and this organization incorporated we will A. not be able to do
anything about this and B. never amass to anything but a list.
It happened, it's done, move on to more important topics.
Regards
Abel
