UK IP works on the web
Leading industry figures and academics in the UK have given the
jurisdiction’s existing intellectual property protection system
overwhelming approval for its compatibility with the Internet.
Delegates at a debate on Tuesday overwhelmingly endorsed the existing
system when they emphatically voted against the statement:
"Traditional intellectual property is not fit for a web-based
economy." Speakers did argue that existing protection needs at least
to adapt to cope with new technological challenges.
