Proposal for a Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council
concerning the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy

As instructed by the Permanent Representatives Committee, the Working
Party on Telecommunications finalised the draft text of the above proposal
for a Directive at its meeting of 16 November 2001.This text is to be read
in conjunction with the report to Coreper set out in doc. 14163/01 ECO 335
CODEC 1211 where the remaining reservations are presented.
