NET - This Should Do For Awhile

Ich dachte, daß diese Anekdote hier vielleicht auch einige zum Schmunzeln
bringt.

Gruß, Boris.

My favorite quotation from the talk Steve Deering of Xerox PARC gave
on IPv6 at MIT today (paraphrased):

"Many people thought that 64 bits for IPng addresses would not be
enough. Some people seemed to think 64 bits could only hold
numbers twice as large as today's 32 bits could, but mostly people
were concerned there be enough address space for tomorrow's
Internet toasters, wristwatches and automobiles. So we eventually
settled on 128 bits, at which point no one had strong objections.
It was then calculated that 2^128 was 1400 for every square
angstrom on the surface of the Earth."
