I think that the turning point will be early next week.
The mid-August week is a "intense vacation" ;>) week in parts of Europe.
We will see soon if participation rises.
If it does not, we have to worry.
Low participation to this phase is a *bad* sign. If Members choose to
participate only in the October round, they implicitely lower the weight of
the member-nominated candidates. I would like to make sure that if a member
does not participate now it is because of his/her explicit choice, not
because of lack of information or lazyness.
What happened to the proposed "reminder" from ICANN to all members when the
election is ongoing? My understanding was that it would have been sent also
for this phase! If we wait for the very last days, we will have the same
situation we had for applications: servers overloaded and service
insufficient.
Regards
Roberto
