You are among the subscribers. ;-)
More seriously, I don't believe we have another list where as many
of the European candidates are currently present, and involved in
discussions on ICANN at large related topics. It's also quite likely
that the future European ICANN @large director/directrice is among
the subscribers. If another list like this exists with suitable
infrastructure (and is not sponsored by annoying advertising
inserted into messages at egroups.com ;-), I'd happily help merging
it with this one, eventually closing down icann-europe. But you, as
a candidate, most likely have more overview over this topic than I
have as a simple at large member.
Actually, announcing such a list on the ICANN site or in the ICANN
mailings may help to prevent future duplication of lists or fora
from happening, which may quite well be in ICANN's own best
interest.
Obviously, a list set up by ICANN itself would be more "official",
and (tautologically) easier to approve for them. However, ICANN
failed in creating such an infrastructure for the @large membership
so far, so they'll have to live with what the members set up
themselves. ;->
With respect to language-specific lists and groups, you are
certainly right that these should be announced as well.
