Re: [icann-eu] Does the ICANN legally exist (this is not a joke)?
Dear Jeff,
Some additional responses:

There is no other difference between a non profit and a profit organization
than the profits are distributed or not. The issue has to do with
identification
of the human body-ies) behind the legal body in term of resposnibility.(who
to send to jail), taxes (who and how to tax); ownership (a trade mark own
by the ICANN may not be accepted), etc... There must be a "living hand'
homding the organization, not a 'dead hand'.

True. This may also be considered in the responses I ask.

As said in another mail: typo, please rad cc/gTLDs. However the ccTLDs
are particulars.

1. complexity in case of dispute is what ccTLDs want to protect them
simplicity if everyoine agree is also what they want (to resale their
business)
2. cannot be divisive in establishing rules, nor in case of agreement of the
concerned. ccTLD manager.
the divisive it is otherwise, the more the ccTLDs are protected.

AFAIK, root galaxies can be only 13 machines. The current galaxie
may supports the Web traffic with 8 machines in operation. But 10
of the machines are in the USA (1 one Japan, and 2 in noerthen Europe)
There should be one Galaxie per Area for network stability. I say that
the Cooperative model would permit to keep them under the SSRAC
umbrela and to increase the co-responsibility feeling between ccTLDs.
