Just a quick, *personal* comment: you would like to have a panel in which,
if I'm not wrong, 10 members over 11 would be Americans. Now, I'm not
particularly a fan of the concept of "political correctness", and it's
better to have a clever person from a majority rather than a stupid one from
a minority, but I really hope that we'll have a much more diverse panel,
roughly balanced around the 77 countries which currently offer members to
this project.

Independently from the (very high) quality of the names you mentioned, I am
sure that we can find quality names from all over the world, and I think it
wouldn't help the credibility or the support of any global At Large effort
if its panel was so vastly unbalanced towards any geographical area.
