Re: [atlarge-discuss] Questions for candidate Jeff Williams

Dear Michael,
I think you do yourself here a disservice. The Jeff Williams metaphore is
part of the Internet and I do support it, as support the Micheal Sherill
one. The network we build is not in the machines, not even in the software,
the were previous steps and the current solutions are pretty poor. The
network we build is in our brains and the way we use it. Brainware is now
the main issue. And group brainware has technical rules, legislation,
usages, technologies etc.. to develop we are just experimenting.

What counts is who you do represent, not who you are the delegate of. Has
Micheal Sherill more importance than Jeff Williams or not in this forum? If
yes why?

I think he has not. I do not question if you are a man, a woman, youn, old,
black, white ... I read what you say. What is important with Jeff is not
that he has 128K membres, what he could truely have and would have no
impact. It is what he says, what he knows, what he can help with. There are
occasions where his metaphore has used us a lot, there are other where your
metaphore may help a lot. So unless you want to introduce a vote on
delegation and fear that Jeff claims 128K votes against your single one,
please drop the issue. Every newbie falls into that trap, it keeps Jeff
very polite and the rest of us do not read the exchange.

Now, to claim that Jeff is sending your porn material :-) believe me I
support Jeff and I receive a lot too. Everyday...

Hello Jefsey:

Thank you for your response regarding Jeff Williams. I appreciate the time you spent to build a case in his defense. However, Jeff Williams is not a metaphor. I am not a metaphor. A metaphor is an object that replaces another object to suggest an analogy or likeness between them. Jeff Williams is a person just like you. I am a person just like you. Jeff Williams claims to represent 124K people and cannot prove it. I claim to represent myself and have no problem proving it. Where is the metaphor in either object?

You claim that what counts is who one represents not who one delegates. Sorry, it is the same thing. If you represent yourself you are your own delegate. If you claim to represent 124K members you are a delegate for them all. That number is far more significant than a delegate of one. If it is a real number.

You state that whether or not Jeff Williams has 124K members does not make a difference. Yes it does. This is not a chat room where weird behavior and make believe lives are considered acceptable. This is a start up organization that faces some serious issues that will affect us all on the Internet. Granted, there are always some crazies in any political group but they are usually at the fringe and do not have an opportunity to legislate the direction of the group. Unfortunately, in this case, Jeff Williams has nominated himself for the board. There are enough newbies, as you put it, in the past week, if you have noticed by the email traffic, that they could interpret his energy and his signature as a spokesman for INEGroup as something plausible, and therefore, electable. This is not the time to stand back with amused toleration for manic behavior. We have more important things to do and we need to get on with it.

As for the porno, Jefsey, I did not receive any porno subscriptions whatsoever, until I began to oppose Jeff Williams. I have had this email address for years and had not an onslaught before. It is not a coincidence. Since my inquiry I have received feedback that agrees with me. If you oppose Jeff Williams online you can expect porno subscriptions.

Regards,

Micheal Sherrill
