    A number of persons have nominated Joanna Lane, the former BBC 
employee, who co-authored the "Best Practices for the General Assembly" 
document, and who played a key role in getting the GA to hold the rebid vote 
(that resulted in the ICANN board banning such votes) and who really 
organized this election.

     While I think there are many persons on the board who would be a good 
chair, I think we would be lucky to have Joanna.
