Re: [atlarge-discuss] Re: Joining INEG Canada <--- does not exist. But?

Hi Jeff,

Ok, I am not looking for a job, but I would like to
join the INEG Group (which is as I understand it a
organization of 127,000 Internet Professionals).

As a way of introducing myself, I joined this group
because I work for a Domain Name Registrar and I am
very concerned about how the internet is being
'governed'.

To answer your questions:
1.) I am Tim Burlee
2.) I live at 1290 Central Parkway W, Mississauga,
Ontario, Canada
3.) Firstly I have a Bachelors Degree in Statistics,
and a Masters' Degree in Computer Science (my Thesis
was in MD5 encryption). I have developed many internet
skills working as a SysAdmin, DBA and Internet
programmer (JAVA, PERL, C#, ASP, NET, DNS).
4.)I have been a user of the internet since university
in the early 1990's when Gopher and Mosiac were
prevalent. I have been employed in the Internet field
since 1995.
5.) How can I help INEG Group? Well, I have about 7
years of internet programming experience, the unique
perspective of someone working for a domain name
Registrar, and a Master's degree in Computer Science.
I would be happy to contribute wherever I can, and
would be willing to help organize events in my area.

So, I hope you can see that I am very much interested
in joining INEG and that I have many of the same
interests and concerns as INEG members. Please put me
in touch with someone in my area so we can get together
and discuss membership.

Thanks,

Tim
