Dear Eric,
I think you miss one very small point in here. Democracy. It protects and 
hampers. Multiply delays by 1000. But I think this is worth. Ethic but also 
efficiency: why to build a perfect system no one is interested in? In a 
way  Democracy is also about making the market study before developping the 
product.
