  Indeed true. It seems though that you have called for Volunteers from
within the membership as watchdogs/monitors...  That was not a very
good idea if we want to have an election that is legitimate.

  So as a rough idea that can be expanded upon,  I suggest that we
seek without delay independent watchdogs that are not members,
or members of any ICANN constituency of other ICANN
body.  Than use a voting system based upon the systems already
mentioned here.  Take two weeks for nominations, allowing
for self nomination, no seconds required so as to expedite
the process, than one week for debate and position statements
by the various candidates, to follow by one week to hold a vote.
That's four weeks in total...
