Joop often sticks both feet in his mouth as I think you already
know Joanna. And for that reason in part he played a central
role in Killing off the IDNO. Joop as far as ICANN is
concerned is a tar baby. We don't need that as a leadership
quality or trait.

And it should be Registered and a TM. But it doesn't have
to be. However as ICANNATLARGE.ORG is a poor
name for this fledgling organization it was the name that
the majority of members voted for. I think that was
a huge mistake and did not favor it as a good name
at the time...

Joop seems to sometimes believe that he and he alone knows
what the members desire or should desire. That is yet another
character flaw that we don't want in any leadership position
for this type or organization.

  Good point here as well.

Effectively this organization as a part of ICANN is irrelevant
and has been for some time. Hence the need IMHO for a name
change and a mind change on the part of some members...

ICANN does not have a TM on every name with the string
"ICANN" as part of a potential name. None the less,
playing around with ICANNATLARGE.ORG as a name
is damaging in and of itself for many other reasons that
will damage this membership eventually in many ways...

It seems to me anyway that Joop for one, desires
to try to borrow from ICANN it's name and by doing
so, recoup his $15k he claims he lost because of ICANN.
That to me is a poor way to go about building and
organization for representation of stakeholder/users...

Jefsey was supposed to have done this in France some time ago
now. He didn't because he could not or would not afford
the cost of doing so. And this is yet another central problem
that many members here refuse to deal with, and I mean
funding here...

Well said here. And food for thought also...
