General Information:
An Internet conference for journalists, entitled
NetMedia99, will be held in London on 1 and 2 July
1999. The aim of the event is to demonstrate the
value of the Internet for finding and publishing
information, and to discuss how the opportunities
opened up may change the working practices of
journalists.
At a special forum, taking place on 2 July,
European Commission officials and a journalist
experienced in exploiting the EU's information
resources will illustrate the potential of
European Union servers for the daily work of
journalists.
During the event, the winner of the NetMedia
On-line Journalism Award for 1999 will be
announced.
