Danny,

icannatlarge has to learn to crawl before it can walk.

Our highest priority is to get organized. Period.
Elected officers, task division and a Charter to protect the members
against abuse from their own leaders.

I do not agree with Alex that this is now the time to start discussing
specific Domain issues in this Forum.
These issues will not disappear, they are likely to get worse.
Our individual members can discuss these matters in the GA and show what
they think there. The electorate should be able to watch them.

This is not even the time to be distracted by what ICANN is doing with its
ALAC, and certainly not by Esther's ALOC.

What we have to do here is focus on electing *our* representatives.
Electing the wrong people now may paralyze us for 12 months.

Our interim Panel has largely failed in carrying out its mandate, which was
to prepare for this election, and this has led to rediculously tight
schedules for the election now.

It has happened, transparency will show us who have been responsible and
now we have to make the best of it.

In my opinion, for a newborn bottom-up organization it would be foolish to
grant too much independence to a Panel that is being elected in such
unseemly haste.
Let all the candidates please give their view on this, so that the voters
know who will stand for members' rights and who for their own "independence
of action".
