You are so right here Eric!
As the IDNO saw, the DNSO GA has seen, and several of the
ICANN Constituencies have also seen, outreach can be a difficult
thing to do if the absolute dedication for the present members
of any members based organization is not there.
Door knocking, virtual or physical is necessary if outreach
is to be successful over the mid to long term...
You must also have a organization that people want to join
and actively participate in. That requires that the organization
have a certain and broad appeal.
