[atlarge-discuss] Point of order

Forgive me for coming out of nowhere with this but I think it might be helpful, at least to those of us who do not have 4 GB hard disks and unlimited broadband access, if people were thoughtful enough to edit their quotations of previous messages down to the specific points they are responding to. 

Few of us are likely to need to read the same material over and over again and, if nobody needs it, it's a waste of bandwidth which we (of all people) should try to avoid.

Meanwhile, if it's not out-of-line, I would also like to ask people to give their messages a new subject line if they don't bear directly on the subject of the original thread, and to take any personal remarks off-list since the rest of us don't necessarily want to watch people trade insults.
