Re: [atlarge-discuss] Re: Hey! atlarge.org and icannatlarge.org!

Thank you Marc. Your science of the DNs management helped a lot: I was at loss trying to get icannatlarge.org back and spent a lot of time/money on the phone with NSI without result!

Could you let us know what are your intents regarding "atlarge.org" which is the DN I think this organization eventually needs. As an alternative I registered "atlarge.ws" to support the deployment of the @large naming plan (http://icann.atlarge.xxx, http://fr.atlarge.xxx etc...). This plan and therefore this domain name should be managed by the WG-DNS (I would be glad you to join).

As we know there are probably cons and pros to use ".org" if ISOC takes it over and we may have to campaign on the matter in a way we do know yet. But obviously "atlarge.org" would be better as ICANN uses http://at-large.org .

http://atlarge.ws is a second good choice for that reason. But the worst situation would be that you retain atlarge.org now, we develop under atlarge.ws and then you release or someone takes it over.

Hi Richard,

Thanks for your update on developments. I got icannatlarge.org by
myself, so to speak. It is not that difficult, if you know how expired
names are handled. Anyway, the organization can have it, naturally.

Let me know what to do with it, and it will be arranged in no time.
For now I have set up the dns so that it points to the
icannatlarge.com website, both with and without www. I hope that is
OK.

Best wishes,

Marc
