[atlarge-discuss] NZ incorporation potential and pitfals - "reformatted resend"

All stakeholders or other interested parties and members,

  I wish to again remind our members that as the subject of
incorporation, and as to where, has been bandied and discussed
for some time now on and off.

  Let's be clear about two things here.

1.) This organizations is definitely NOT a US organization.
2.) There is not legal way to register this organization at present or
    in it's present condition as a international corporation, profit 
    or non-profit, hence there will be for the time being anyway, 
    no .INT version of our present organizations name.
3.) Incorporation in New Zealand has some advantages that have been
    properly and nicely outlined by David.  Thank you david for 
    doing so!  >;0

4.) Incorporation in New Zealand has some definite disadvantages 
    for non New Zealand residents.  Those being, but not all 
    inclusive the following:
     a.) No legal rights what so ever regarding members that are not New
         Zealand residents.
     b.) Tax disadvantages as to the creation of other chapters on funds
         collected via the membership.


  Therefore as in keeping with the democratic precepts of this
organization it would seem reasonable and proper for the membership 
to vote upon options available for incorporation.  The offers or 
possibilities thus far as I know them (See archives this forum)
are as follows:

1.) New Zealand - Offered by Dave.
2.) France - originally offered by Jefsey
3.) California, USA - I believe Eric and Brett both offered this as a
possibility
4.) Delaware - Jeff offered this one.


  I would be to each members advantage to investigate independently
these options for themselves and Chirs is so fond of suggesting, 
so as to make a good informed decision as Judyth has wisely 
offered as council.
