Re: [atlarge-discuss] who does the ietf do it?

How does the ietf address the issue of deciding when a draft is mature
enough to publish it for comment? The way Hans has been posting very raw
stuff on the web page is certainly one way to proceed. But what are the
other models, for online type organizations?
I see no problem if members use the Charter area of the Forum to deposit
proposed articles for discussion and amendments. There are good tools
there, for every member's use, designed to make debating drafts easy and
clear.
On the main body of the website draft Bylaws , Charter or Constitution
articles will have an aura of authoritativeness. There I do see a
potential railroading problem.
You , David and Hans are all seasoned and salaried political operators, so
you know what I mean.
BTW, Jamie, do you still agree with Hans that webmaster accountability
rules are not a priority?
After the exchanges read here in the last few days I now feel very
strongly about them and I would like to propose a Resolution of this
members' Assembly that the Panel *make* webmaster accountability rules an
urgent priority. Seconds please.
Shanghai will give us a great deal of added web traffic and it is critical
that the members are protected from possible website shenanigans.
The webmaster too needs protection from hard pushing Panel members without
clear majority support.
