Re: [atlarge-discuss] Constituency

Dear Jefsey,
If you said to the average rational person, "Please join my group. It has
no mission, no charter, no bylaws, no incorporation, no dues, no ability to
raise funds, no outreach program, no policy statements, a leadership panel
that is resigning in droves, and after ten months it has basically
accomplished nothing", I am sure that the average person would politely say
to you, "well, it's sure cheap to join...but..."
This particular organizational model has failed. Perhaps a formal
constituency structure will succeed. It's time to start over with a narrow
mission and a concrete organizational structure defined by a Charter. The
IDNO failed, now too has icannatlarge... but there is no shame in a failed
endeavor... one learns from one's mistakes. I would rather pursue a new
venture than to tie myself to an effort that is going nowhere.
I call it as I see it.
Best regards,
Danny
