It would be with great satisfaction, and not just a little humility, if I
could play even the smallest of roles in ensuring the Internet rights of
all, were being represented.

There are those amongst us, who in my opinion, could do as good a job as
any in such a pursuit, and with whom I would gladly work.

Unfortunately, we have allowed, and continue to allow, this group to take
a few too many wrong turns.

And, notwithstanding the guidance given us in 2 Corinthians 11:19, I do
not suffer fools gladly.

Therefore, while I will continue to do what I can regarding the Internet
rights of us all - at this time, I must respectfully decline the
nomination for election to the Panel of "icannatlarge.org."

Further as to why...

To be affective and to be taken suriously by those outside our group, I
believe we first must reach a different level of maturity, something I am
not sure we can achieve given our current course(s) of action. Something
we might be able to achieve given a few hard choices that I do not believe
will be made, currently, by a panel of eleven.

As my quote of Emerson reads in part:

 "...by the company he keeps...by the look of his house."
