This is disturbing news.  While much of what I have learned in the last
few days in very positive, there seems to be a distinct "air" about the
haste with which this coming "Election" event is taking place.  I would
venture to say that it appears as more of a "selection" than an
"election" and should not be ratified hastily.  I spent some
considerable time searching various ICANN@Large websites and was unable
to find a means to "nominate" or "second" any person other than through
this mailing list.

Jefsey insists the election is run by the rules published by the Polling
Committee, which I have not seen. Jefsey refuses to verify the ID of
each
Watchdog and Candidate in this election. The Polling Committee amounts
to
himself, plus a compliant pair of accomplices whose opinions on the
matter
of ID verification are noted by their absence. This puts me in an
untenable
position. I resign as a Watchdog.
